POWERbreathe strength training basics - Just as you use weights to strengthen your arm muscles, you train with the POWERbreathe by inhaling against a variable resistance to strengthen your breathing muscles. The diaphragm and rib muscles become stronger and more enduring.
Strengthen your diaphragm - Breathing training with the POWERbreathe Plus (HW) focuses on strengthening your diaphragm and not your lungs. This is because your lungs are a pair of spongy, air-filled organs, not muscles, and therefore cannot be strengthened.
This machine is very challenging and only suitable for people who are very fit and have reached the highest level of the machine with medium resistance.
