In the small mountain village of Arosa, Bettina and Peter Ambühl laid the foundation for MEDiDOR company’s history. Inspired by the philosophy and effectiveness of the SISSEL brand, which they discovered during their travels to Sweden, the couple decided to introduce the medical neck support pillow to Switzerland. The name MEDiDOR combines “MEDi” for and “DOR” from the French “dormir”—a reference to the neck pillow, which remains one of the company’s core products to this day.

Operational responsibility will be assumed by Martin Lorenz, Robert Studer and Daniel Steiner together with the existing MEDiDOR team. This step enables MEDiDOR to concentrate fully on its core business again and to expand it further.
