Short-stretch bandages – why they are the gold standard in compression therapy

Lohmann & Rauscher Rosidal K: Short-stretch bandages have minimal stretch and generate high working pressure at low resting pressure. The compression is most effective during muscle pump activity (walking, standing)—exactly what is required for the physiological treatment of venous and lymphoedema.

Long-stretch bandages are more elastic—they apply pressure even when at rest. They are unsuitable for in cases of lymphedema, but are practical for and short-term immobilization bandages.

Gauze pads

L&R Gazin: Standard for , wound cleansing, and sterile bandaging. 5×5 cm for wounds, 10×10 cm for wounds and postoperative dressings.

Cohesive bandages

Stick to themselves, not to the skin—ideal for skin, for treating edema, and as the outer layer of compression bandages. No adhesive tape required; no pain when removing.

Specialty Products

Foam rubber padding strips (L&R Komprex): Padded underlay for pressure distribution over bony prominences in compression bandages.
Tensoplast: A hybrid between rigid sports tape and elastic bandages – for fixation bandages.

What is the difference between Rosidal K and Rosidal sys?

Rosidal K is the classic short-stretch bandage. Rosidal sys is a multi-layer system with graduated compression— for therapists with specific compression goals.
