Foot baths in physical therapy

Paraffin foot baths reach temperatures between 52 and 55 degrees and penetrate deep into the tissue. The heat relaxes the muscles and improves blood circulation all the way down to the smallest blood vessels. In Swiss physical therapy, paraffin baths are mainly used to treat osteoarthritis of the toe joints, plantar fasciitis, and following foot fractures.

The Beurer MP70 holds 2.5 kilograms of paraffin and takes about 45 minutes to heat up. After the treatment, the cooled paraffin can be easily removed and reused multiple times. The treatment usually lasts 15 to 20 minutes. Do not use this device on open wounds or areas with acute inflammation.
