Digital hand dynamometer that fits in the palm of your hand
The wireless microFET® 2 digital handheld dynamometer is a precise, portable device for force measurement and testing (FET). It was specifically developed for , reliable, and quantifiable muscle testing and represents a modern advancement of proven manual muscle testing. The microFET® 2 supports the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of neuromuscular disorders. Thanks to wireless technology, you can now enjoy the freedom of a cordless design and are no longer tied to a data-logging computer. No more cables!
This unique, compact dynamometer-style muscle strength meter is battery-powered, weighs less than a pound, and fits comfortably in the hand thanks to its ergonomic design. The microFET® 2 muscle strength meter is microprocessor-controlled and provides precise and reproducible muscle strength measurements.
microFET®2 Specifications:
- Measurement range: 0–300 lbs force
- Easy-to-read LCD displays show peak force and elapsed time
- Selectable units of measurement: Pounds (lbs.), Newton (N) or kilogram-force (kgf)
- Accuracy within 1 % of the measured value
- Two threshold settings for :
Low threshold – 0.8 lb to 300 lbs in 0.1 lb increments, and
High threshold – 3.0 lbs to 300 lbs in 0.1 lb increments - Stores up to 30 tests
- Uses rechargeable lithium-ion battery
- Automatic "sleep mode" after 3 minutes to extend battery life
Can be used as a standalone device or in conjunction with a clinical software package (sold separately) or the FET data acquisition software package (included). The FET data acquisition software package is designed for and educational purposes. The program simultaneously records the raw measurement data and displays a real-time graph of the data. The data is saved in CSV (Comma-Separated Values) format and can be opened in most spreadsheet programs for further analysis.
The MicroFET2 MMT with data acquisition package comes with 3 attachments (flat, curved, and with digit sensors), an instruction manual, a calibration certificate, a USB-C cable, and a carrying case.
Note: Thanks to an update, all devices with serial numbers starting with 1R241W or higher offer the following new features:
- T2P (Time to Peak) – Measures the time it takes to reach peak power
- A (Average Force) – The average force recorded during the test
- AbP (Average Before Peak) – The average force leading up to the peak force
- AAP (Average After Peak) – Average force after the peak value
- rFd (Rate of Force Development) – the rate at which force increases
